Play tighter when you are losing.
When you are down a buy-in or even multiple buy-ins, most players will assume that you will try to restore your losses by playing more aggressively, etc. So they will be willing to bluff-catch wider against you and adjust according to that assumption.
Most players go on tilt when they are losing and start punting their stack. So by consciously playing tighter than your normal in those situations, you prevent that as well.
When a villain bets half pot or less on the turn on a wet board, check-raise all of your draws.
Most players value how much protection their hand needs and choose bet sizes according to that. So when most players bet small on wet boards, they either have a weak top pair or worse, or a draw. Against that range we have a lot of fold equity.
Fold overpairs and strong top pairs vs. turn or river raises. If the line is: you bet on the flop, villain calls, you bet 2/3 or bigger on the turn, and you get raised—fold overpairs, top pair/top kicker, etc.
That line is very under-bluffed, and the significant majority of villains’ ranges will be 2 pairs plus in those situations.
